From Idea to Impact: Leveraging AI for Speech Writing and Beyond
Rod Alexander, Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), has been an active member of Toastmasters since 2010, serving in all seven club officer roles and numerous district leadership positions. During his tenure as District 44 Director in 2023-24, he led the district to achieve the District Club Strength Award, emphasizing teamwork and fostering growth across the organization. He now serves as the Immediate Past District Director.
In 2019, Rod placed 3rd in the District 14 International Speech Contest, and in 2021, he earned his DTM designation. When he joined the District 44 leadership trio in 2021, Rod was affectionately nicknamed “Radio Rod” due to his smooth baritone voice—a name that ultimately inspired his decision to explore voice acting and voiceovers.
Professionally, Rod works as an Ancillary Contract Manager at UnitedHealthcare, where he negotiates contracts with ancillary providers to bring them into the network and renegotiates agreements to ensure optimal outcomes. He draws on his Toastmasters skills, such as active listening and effective communication, to excel in his role.
Outside of work and Toastmasters, Rod is a world traveler, passionate gamer, and proud pet parent. With his distinctive voice and love for communication, Rod is excited to bring his creative energy to new ventures in voiceovers.
